VB.net or Actionscript 2.0?!
Looking at the intense and detailed objectives list i had created to my self, the irst thing i looked at was objective 1; to create a Login form that interacted with a database!
Well after discussing and researching with teachers, peers, and other friends, i decided that the objective of creating my whole program in actionscript was becoming a harder challenge than i presumed, particullarly because actionscript language is based on the web, its controls and functions work well when interacting with outside resources, but is not effective when you want to create a local program (workstation application). Hence because of lack of local interaction i have decided to fall back to vb.net express 2005; basically because i am familliar with the controls and it excels in local applications, and it includes already very simple and manipulative database controls! OLEDB!
So to refresh and learn how to interact with vb.net and how to start connecting with a database (access) i googled, and found this very detailed begginers guide to OLEDB!
